Coimbatore: The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation took swift action to address drainage issues and conduct dengue prevention activities in Ward 27 on July 30. The operations focused on Peelamedu Avarampalayam Main Road and areas near Renugadevi Temple.

A drainage blockage was reported on the Peelamedu Avarampalayam Main Road and in front of the Renugadevi Temple. The corporation promptly deployed an air compressor auto to clear the obstruction.

Ward Supervisor Maheshwari inspected the work and instructed the team to complete the task quickly.

In another part of Ward 27, specifically in the Gopal Nagar area of Peelamedu Avarampalayam Main Road, the corporation's sanitation workers carried out dengue mosquito eradication efforts.

They identified and removed mosquito larvae, applied bleaching powder to affected areas, and poured Abate solution into water tanks to prevent mosquito breeding. Ward Supervisor Maheshwari also oversaw these preventive measures.
