Collector distributes water beds and air beds to differently-abled persons in Coimbatore

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati distributed 19 water beds and 20 air beds worth Rs. 1.30 lakh to differently-abled persons with spinal cord injuries on August 2, 2024, at the Collectorate.


Coimbatore: In a gesture of support for differently-abled individuals, Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati IAS distributed specialized beds to those affected by spinal cord injuries. The event took place at the District Collector's office on August 2, 2024.

The initiative, carried out with the assistance of volunteers, saw the distribution of 19 water beds and 20 air beds, collectively valued at Rs. 1.30 lakh. These specialized beds are designed to provide comfort and support to individuals with spinal cord injuries, potentially improving their quality of life.

Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati personally handed over the beds to the beneficiaries. The distribution event was attended by officials from the local Rotary Club, underlining the collaborative effort between the district administration and community organizations in supporting the differently-abled.

This initiative highlights the district administration's commitment to addressing the needs of differently-abled individuals in Coimbatore. By providing these specialized beds, the administration aims to alleviate some of the challenges faced by those with spinal cord injuries and enhance their daily living conditions.
