One-Day Beekeeping Training at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in Coimbatore

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University's Department of Entomology in Coimbatore is offering a one-day beekeeping training on August 6, 2024. The course covers various aspects of beekeeping and costs Rs. 590 per participant.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) in Coimbatore has announced a one-day beekeeping training program scheduled for August 6, 2024. The Department of Entomology at TNAU organizes this training monthly to promote and educate interested individuals about beekeeping.

The comprehensive training program will cover various aspects of beekeeping, including identification and rearing of bee species, box hive management, food crops for bees, and crops that benefit from increased pollination. Participants will also learn about honey extraction techniques, natural enemies of bees, and disease management in bee colonies.

Those interested in attending the training should report to the Department of Entomology at TNAU at 9:00 AM on the day of the training. Participants are required to present identification proof and pay a fee of Rs. 590 (Rupees Five Hundred and Ninety only) in person. The training will conclude with the distribution of certificates to the participants. The session will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
