45-day-long Government Exhibition begins from today.


The Government Exhibition organised by the Information and Public Relations Department was inaugurated this evening at the Prison Grounds in Gandhipuram. The 45-day-long exhibition was declared open by Minister SP Velumani, Minister for Municipal Administration, Rural Development in the presence of Tamil Nadu Co-operatives, Minister Sellur K Raju, J Kumaragurubaran, Director of Information and Public RelationsDistrict Collector, TN Hariharan and other MLAs from the district took part in the inaugural event.

Around 27 government stalls including stalls of animal husbandry, forest and wildlife department, PWD, Hand-loom, Agricultural department, City Corporation among others have put up stalls in the exhibition. All basic amenities like drinking water, parking, and toilet facilities have been facilitated at the venue. Cultural events of various genres will also take place on all 45 days of the exhibition. 

The exhibition is open for public starting from today, on all days from 4 pm to 10 pm.
