Motorists waiting at traffic signals sensitized on safe driving, initiative by City Traffic Police.

In a bid to make the people of this city conscious about the traffic rules and regulations, the Coimbatore City Traffic Police have been organizing several sensitizing awareness campaigns. In a recent initiative, the motorists who halt at the traffic signals were targeted to spread the message of safe driving.

To accomplish this initiative, the City Traffic Police has joined hands with Kaycees Organic Store and NGO 'Edudharma'. The Volunteers from the NGO along with traffic police created traffic awareness at the Lakshmi Mills Signal, yesterday. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Saravanan appreciated the motorists who complied with the rules. The importance of wearing seat belts and helmets among other safe driving rules were advised to the drivers.

'This initiative will continue every week on Saturdays between 4 pm to 6:30 pm at prominent signals in the city, shared a volunteer.
