Rotaract District Organisation Donates Essential Relief Materials to Flood-Affected Wayanad

Rotaract District Organisation has donated essential relief materials worth over 2 lakhs to support flood victims in Wayanad district, Kerala. The initiative aims to provide immediate assistance to affected communities.

Coimbatore: In a show of solidarity and support, the Rotaract District Organisation has stepped forward with a significant donation of essential relief materials for the flood-affected victims in Wayanad district, Kerala. The donation, valued at over 2 lakh rupees, comes in response to the recent devastating floods that have impacted thousands of lives in the region.

The unprecedented rainfall in Wayanad has led to severe flooding, causing widespread damage to homes, infrastructure, and livelihoods. Many families have been displaced and are in urgent need of basic necessities. Recognizing this immediate requirement, Rotaract District Organisation mobilized resources to provide much-needed assistance to the affected communities.

The relief materials, which include non-perishable food items, clean drinking water, blankets, clothing, and medical supplies, were delivered to local authorities and relief camps set up in the district. All these materials were procured by Rotaract Clubs of the Coimbatore Region, demonstrating the organization's commitment to community service and social responsibility.

Rtr. Dharneesh, District Director of Community Service, and Rtr. Karthick, District Chair for District Initiatives, are spearheading this relief effort. The organization is coordinating with local NGOs and community leaders to ensure that the relief materials reach the most affected areas efficiently. Volunteers from the organization are on the ground, working tirelessly to distribute the supplies and provide additional support as needed.

The Rotaract District Organisation is not stopping at this initial donation. They are actively collecting more funds to contribute towards the Kerala Chief Minister's Flood Relief Fund, further extending their support to the state's recovery efforts.

This initiative is part of the organization's larger commitment to responding to emergencies and providing support to communities in distress. The Rotaract District Organisation has a history of engaging in humanitarian aid during times of crisis.
