The campaign aimed to educate the public about the dangers of drug abuse and promote a drug-free society. Assistant Commissioner Ajay Thangam addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of staying away from narcotics and their detrimental effects on individuals and society at large.

The event was presided over by prominent figures including Mohamed Haris, Coordinator of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee Minority Wing; Muhammad Shafeer, District Secretary of India Tauheed Jamaat Coimbatore; Muhammad Basheer, Deputy President of India Tauheed Jamaat Coimbatore District; and Abdul Azeez, Headmaster of the Madrasa.

Following the formal proceedings, a rally was organized where students and adults marched through the entire area. Participants carried banners and placards with anti-drug messages, chanting slogans to raise awareness about the perils of drug abuse.

The campaign not only served as an educational initiative but also as a community-building exercise, bringing together people from various age groups for a common cause. The event underscored the collective responsibility in combating the menace of drug abuse and promoting a healthier society.

The India Tauheed Jamaat's initiative on Independence Day highlighted the importance of freedom from drug addiction, drawing parallels with the nation's freedom struggle. By choosing this significant day for the campaign, the organizers effectively linked the concept of personal and societal freedom with the broader theme of national independence.
