DMK Celebrates 91st Birth Anniversary of Former Union Minister Murasoli Maran in Pollachi

Pollachi DMK members paid floral tributes to Murasoli Maran's portrait on his 91st birth anniversary. The event was held at the party office in Thernilai Thidal area, led by the city secretary Navaneetha Krishnan.


Coimbatore: The Pollachi unit of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) celebrated the 91st birth anniversary of Murasoli Maran, a senior pioneer of the party and former Union Minister, at their party office in the Thernilai Thidal area on Wednesday.

The event was presided over by Navaneetha Krishnan, the city secretary of DMK. Syamala Navaneetha Krishnan, the chairperson of Pollachi Municipal Council, paid floral tributes to the portrait of Murasoli Maran as a mark of respect.

Following the tribute, sweets were distributed among the attendees. The celebration was attended by several party officials, including Dr. Mahendran, the joint secretary of the state technology wing, M.K. Muthu, a member of the executive committee, and Dharmaraj, the deputy city secretary, among others.

Murasoli Maran, a veteran DMK leader, served as a Union Minister in multiple cabinets and was known for his significant contributions to the party and Tamil Nadu politics. The commemoration of his birth anniversary reflects the continuing respect and admiration the party holds for its senior leaders and their legacies.
