On Thursday, officials conducted inspections at 105 establishments across Erode, Bhavani, Perundurai, Gobichettipalayam, and Sathyamangalam. The inspections revealed that 82 of these establishments had not only failed to declare a holiday for their employees but also did not provide double wages for work on Independence Day.
Furthermore, these establishments did not obtain the necessary permission from the Labour Department for their employees to work on the national holiday. As a result, cases have been registered against all 82 establishments found in violation of these labour regulations.
