Children Flock to Vellalore Lake Butterfly Park for Educational Visit in Coimbatore

Students from The Camford International School and PSG Aided Primary School visited the Butterfly Park at Vellalore Lake, Coimbatore, on August 17 and 19, 2024, respectively. The park offers scientific and environmental information alongside butterfly viewing.


Coimbatore: The Butterfly Park at Vellalore Lake, established by the Coimbatore Lakes Protection Association, has become a popular educational destination for school children. The park not only offers visitors a chance to observe butterflies but also provides a wealth of scientific and environmental information.





On Saturday, August 17, 2024, students from The Camford International School visited the park.



Following this, on Monday, August 19, 2024, children from PSG Aided Primary School flocked to the Butterfly Park, enjoying the sights and learning experiences it offers.

The Butterfly Park is open to the general public on Sundays from 10 AM to 4 PM, with free admission and no prior booking required. For visits on weekdays (Monday to Saturday), school and college students, as well as corporate employees, can make reservations by contacting 9843346298.

This initiative by the Coimbatore Lakes Protection Association serves as an innovative approach to environmental education, combining the beauty of nature with informative displays to engage young minds and promote awareness about local ecosystems.
