Karpagam Institute of Technology Contributes 30,000 Items for Wayanad Flood Relief

NSS unit and UBA club of Karpagam Institute of Technology collected over 30,000 essential items for Wayanad flood relief on August 16, 2024. The initiative saw participation from students, faculty, and volunteers.



Coimbatore: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) club of Karpagam Institute of Technology joined forces to support the Wayanad flood relief efforts on August 16, 2024. R Nithyanandham, District Governor, Lions Club Coimbatore, and his team were present to collect the items from the college.

In a remarkable display of solidarity and social responsibility, over 30,000 essential items were collected and sent to aid the flood-affected region. The relief materials included food, clothing, medicines, toiletries, and blankets, which were crucial in providing immediate assistance to those displaced by the floods.

This initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and volunteers, who dedicated their time and resources to ensure the campaign's success. Their collective efforts resulted in a substantial contribution to the relief operations in Wayanad.



The collaboration between the NSS unit and UBA club underscores Karpagam Institute of Technology's commitment to community service and its ongoing efforts to support those in need during times of crisis. This initiative not only provided tangible aid to the flood victims but also instilled a sense of social responsibility among the participants.
