Senior Advocate Inaugurates Short Film on Skin Donation Awareness in Coimbatore

Senior Advocate Sundar Vadivel inaugurated a short film on skin donation awareness in Coimbatore. The film, titled "Thenmozhi," aims to educate the public about the importance of skin donation and the services provided by Ganga Hospital's skin bank.


Coimbatore: Senior Advocate Sundar Vadivel inaugurated a short film project on skin donation awareness at the Rotary 3201 office on Race Course Road in Coimbatore. The event was organized jointly by the All India People's Rights and Legal Awareness Association, Rotary 3201, Ganga Hospital, and World Malayali Council.

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by R.K. Kumar, founder of the All India People's Rights and Legal Awareness Association. Other dignitaries present included V.H. Subramaniam, General Secretary of the organization, Latha Arjunan, State Women's Wing President and National Coordinator, Ramesh Kumar, District President, Senthil Kumar, District Vice President, and Dr. Radhakrishnan, President of World Malayali Council.



The short film, titled "Thenmozhi," aims to create awareness about skin donation and encourage people to contribute to the skin bank at Ganga Hospital. The film's director Kumar Thangavel, lead actress Sivasakthi, and child star Baby Rakshitha were also present at the event.

The story revolves around a child named Thenmozhi, who loses her beauty in a fire accident. The film showcases how her parents struggle to restore her appearance and how the skin bank at Ganga Hospital assists in the process. It also highlights the importance of skin donation and the procedures involved in approaching the skin bank.

Rotary 3201 Governor and Senior Advocate Sundar Vadivel stated, "Through this short film, we aim to clearly convey to the public how Rotary 3201, All India People's Rights and Legal Awareness Association, and World Malayali Council are assisting in accessing the Ganga Hospital skin bank."

V.H. Subramaniam, General Secretary of the All India People's Rights and Legal Awareness Association, emphasized the lack of public awareness regarding skin donation. He explained that the short film is a collaborative effort to educate people about the significance of skin donation.

Latha Arjunan, State Women's Wing President and National Coordinator, added that the film aims to create awareness about the possibility of rehabilitation for fire accident victims. She mentioned that the project is a joint initiative by the All India People's Rights and Legal Awareness Association, Rotary 3201, and World Malayali Council.

The event marked the beginning of this important awareness campaign, with the short film expected to play a crucial role in educating the public about skin donation and its life-changing impact.
