Krishna Jayanthi Celebrated with Costume Contest at Sai Baba Temple in Dharapuram

Dharapuram's Sai Baba Temple hosted a Krishna Jayanthi celebration featuring a children's costume contest. Minister N. Kayalvizhi Selvaraj attended the event, distributing prizes to participants and inaugurating an annadanam service.



Coimbatore: The Sai Baba Temple in Dharapuram celebrated Krishna Jayanthi with a special event that included the sixth-anniversary launch of a charitable service program called "Seeking the Disabled." The highlight of the celebration was a costume contest for children, commemorating the birth of Lord Krishna.

More than 50 children participated in the contest, dressing up as Krishna and Radha. The young participants offered prayers to Lord Krishna in their colorful attire. Following the costume contest, dance competitions and games were organized, with prizes awarded to the winners.



Minister for Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare, N. Kayalvizhi Selvaraj, attended the event as the chief guest. She was joined by S. Muruganandham, Secretary of Dharapuram Town Corporation, and K. Pappukannan, Chairman of Dharapuram Town Council. The dignitaries presented prizes to the children who participated in the various competitions.

After the prize distribution, Minister Kayalvizhi Selvaraj inaugurated an annadanam service, serving food to the children and the public who had gathered for the celebration. The event saw the participation of several local officials and community leaders, including Dharapuram Town Council President Kathiravan, former MLA Saraswathi Rajendran, Town Council Member Yusuf, and Dr. M. Jailani, Secretary of the Thirugnanasambandar Trust.

The celebration not only honored the birth of Lord Krishna but also emphasized community service and engagement, bringing together people from various walks of life in Dharapuram.
