Free Bicycles Distributed to Students in Udumalpet Under Tamil Nadu Government Scheme

The Tamil Nadu government's free bicycle distribution program was conducted in Udumalpet, Tirupur district. 961 bicycles were given to students from six schools in the area.


Tirupur: The Tamil Nadu government's free bicycle distribution program was held at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School on Thali Road in Udumalpet, Tirupur district. The event saw the participation of key officials and the local Member of Parliament.

Udayakumar, the Chief Educational Officer of Tiruppur district, presided over the function. The school's headmaster, Abdul Khadar, delivered the welcome address. Pollachi MP K. Eswaraswamy attended the event and distributed bicycles to the students.

A total of 961 bicycles were distributed to students from six schools in the area. The beneficiary schools included Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Udumalpet, Government Higher Secondary School on Rajendra Road, Government Higher Secondary School in Poolanginaru, Government Higher Secondary School in Udukkampalayam, and government-aided schools such as Sri Kannika Parameswari Higher Secondary School and Sri Visalakshi Girls Higher Secondary School.

The event was attended by headmasters, teachers, and students from the participating schools. This initiative is part of the Tamil Nadu government's efforts to promote education and provide necessary resources to students, especially those from economically weaker sections of society.
