Tamil Puligal Party members in Tirupur submit petition to District Superintendent of Police, requesting 24-hour armed police protection for their state leader Nagai Thiruvalluvan due to alleged death threats on social media.

Tirupur: Members of the Tamil Puligal Party in Tirupur district have submitted a petition to the District Superintendent of Police, demanding 24-hour armed police protection for their state leader Nagai Thiruvalluvan. The petition cites alleged death threats against Thiruvalluvan on social media platforms as the reason for their request.

Led by Karthik, the West Tirupur District Secretary of Tamil Puligal Party, more than 20 party executives presented the petition today. The document highlights Nagai Thiruvalluvan's continuous engagement in field work and protests for social justice, as well as his expression of various political views.

The petition states that numerous posts threatening Thiruvalluvan's life have been appearing on social media platforms. The party has been filing complaint petitions in all districts, urging authorities to conduct a proper investigation into these threats. As part of this ongoing effort, the petition submitted to the Tirupur District Superintendent of Police also calls for the immediate arrest of those posting threatening content on social media.

In addition to the demand for armed police protection, the Tamil Puligal Party has emphasized the need for swift action against those responsible for the online threats. The party's request for round-the-clock armed police protection for their state leader underscores the seriousness with which they view the situation and their concern for Nagai Thiruvalluvan's safety.
