DMK Coimbatore North District Secretary Tho. Ravi offered condolences and financial aid to the family of a sanitation worker who died after falling into a well in Puluvapatti on August 31.


Coimbatore: In a tragic incident on Thursday, August 31, a sanitation worker named Parani, employed by the Puluvapatti Town Panchayat in Thondamuthur Assembly constituency, lost his life after falling into a well. Upon receiving the news, Thondamuthur Ravi, the DMK Secretary for Coimbatore North District, rushed to the scene to offer his condolences to the bereaved family.

Ravi met with the family members of the deceased and expressed his deep sympathy for their loss. In a gesture of support, he also provided financial assistance to the grieving family. The DMK leader was accompanied by Chellappan (alias) Samipaiyyan, the North Union Secretary of Thondamuthur, and Chinraj, the Town Secretary of Puluvapatti, along with other party officials.

The incident has highlighted the risks faced by sanitation workers in their daily duties. Local authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic accident to prevent similar incidents in the future. The swift response and personal visit by the DMK district secretary underscores the party's commitment to supporting workers and their families in times of crisis.
