Nilgiris MP A. Raja inaugurated several development projects in Annur Special Grade Town Panchayat on September 1, including new office building, roads, electric vehicle, and overhead water tanks, benefiting local residents.
Coimbatore: Nilgiris Member of Parliament A. Raja inaugurated various development projects in Annur Special Grade Town Panchayat on September 1, marking a significant step towards improving local infrastructure and public amenities.

The projects inaugurated include the construction of a new Town Panchayat office building, new tar roads, and the introduction of an electric vehicle and a tipper lorry for public use. These initiatives aim to enhance the quality of life for residents and improve the overall infrastructure of the area.

As part of the Nilgiris Parliamentary Constituency Development Scheme, Raja inaugurated three overhead water tanks, each with a capacity of 30,000 liters. The first tank, costing Rs. 16.75 lakhs, was opened in Ward No. 09, Kannamma Subbaiya Nagar area. The MP expressed his gratitude to the voters and the public on this occasion.

The second overhead tank, also built at a cost of Rs. 16.75 lakhs, was inaugurated in Ward No. 15, Kaliyapuram area. Raja once again thanked the voters and the public for their support in implementing these development projects.

The third 30,000-liter capacity overhead water tank, constructed at a cost of Rs. 16.75 lakhs, was opened in Ward No. 02, Allikulam area. The MP reiterated his commitment to the constituency's development and expressed gratitude to the local community.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several prominent figures, including District Party Secretary Th. A. Ravi, Annur Town Panchayat Chairman Parameswaran, and various party executives. The event highlighted the collaborative efforts between the elected representatives and local authorities in bringing about positive changes in the community.
