District-level Kho Kho tournament draws enthusiastic participation from Coimbatore schools

A district-level Kho Kho tournament organized by Rathinapuri Kho Kho Club in Coimbatore saw enthusiastic participation from students of both government and private schools, showcasing young talent in the traditional Indian sport.



Coimbatore: The Rathinapuri Kho Kho Club of Coimbatore organized a district-level Kho Kho tournament that saw enthusiastic participation from students of both government and private schools. The event was held at the St. John Bosco Higher Secondary School premises in Goundampalayam.

The tournament was inaugurated by Sneha Princi, Superintendent of Central Excise and GST, who attended as the chief guest. Bishop Robert Pichai, the Principal and Correspondent of St. John Bosco School, was present as the guest of honor.



The competition featured separate categories for boys and girls under 14 years of age. More than fifty students from various government and private schools across the district participated in the knockout matches.

In the boys' category, NGR School clinched the first place and the championship cup. St. John Bosco School secured the second position, followed by TKS School in third place, and Madukkarai Brindavan School in fourth.

For the girls' category, Suguna PIP School emerged victorious, claiming the first place and the championship cup. Vivek Vidyalaya secured the second position, NGR School came third, and Goundampalayam Corporation Higher Secondary School finished fourth.

The winning teams and outstanding players were honored with prizes and certificates. The tournament arrangements were coordinated by the Rathinapuri Kho Kho Club administrators, including Prince Leen Ruben, Prakash, Madan Kumar, Dharmaprabu, Gautham, and Ram Kumar.
