Coimbatore: The Salem Railway Division has announced the launch of a weekly special train service between Coimbatore and Danapur, enhancing connectivity between Tamil Nadu and Bihar. This new service is set to commence from September 4, 2023, and will continue until January 1, 2025.

According to the official statement, the Danapur-Coimbatore Weekly Special Train (No. 03325) will depart from Danapur every Wednesday at 10:10 AM and arrive at Coimbatore Junction on Friday at 12:30 PM. The return journey, Coimbatore-Danapur Weekly Special Train (No. 03326), will leave Coimbatore every Saturday at 12:55 PM from September 7, 2023, to January 4, 2025, reaching Danapur on Monday at 5:10 PM.

The train will make stops at several key stations along its route, including Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Perambur, Gudur, Nellore, Ongole, Vijayawada, Warangal, Jabalpur, and Gaya. This extensive route will provide convenient travel options for passengers in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar.

This new weekly special train service is expected to boost travel and trade between the southern and eastern regions of India, offering a direct rail link between the textile hub of Coimbatore and the culturally rich city of Danapur in Bihar.
