KCT Swagatham 2024: Over 1,560 Freshers Begin Their College Journey at Kumaraguru College of Technology

Kumaraguru College of Technology welcomed its 41st batch of over 1,560 freshers on Wednesday. The event, KCT Swagatham 2024, marked the beginning of their engineering journey with addresses from institutional leaders.


Coimbatore: Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT) welcomed its 41st batch of over 1,560 freshers to the campus on Wednesday. The event, KCT Swagatham 2024, saw new students accompanied by their parents being greeted by the college management and academic staff, marking the beginning of their engineering journey.

The occasion was not just an introduction to college life but a celebration of KCT's four-decade-long legacy in shaping future engineers. Dr. B K Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, Chairman of Kumaraguru Institutions, delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the vision of Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam Ayya, who believed in the transformative power of quality education.



Dr. Vanavarayar recounted the college's inception, crediting the support of former Chief Minister MGR and the efforts of Professor Arumugam. He highlighted KCT's growth to its current strength of over 7,000 students and its status as a premier institution in Tamil Nadu. Addressing the challenges of evolving education policies, he assured parents of the institution's commitment to realizing their children's dreams.

Shri Shankar Vanavarayar, President of Kumaraguru Institutions, in his special address, welcomed the new batch and emphasized the holistic approach to education at KCT. He encouraged students to take ownership of their journey, participate in extracurricular activities, and strive for both academic excellence and personal growth.
