Coimbatore: As Vinayagar Chaturthi approaches, Coimbatore district is set to witness the installation of 708 Vinayagar idols across various locations. To ensure the smooth conduct of the festival, authorities have planned to deploy 3,500 police personnel for security duties.
In Coimbatore city, various Hindu organizations will install Vinayagar idols at designated places. Residents are also expected to set up smaller idols within their residential complexes.
