Coimbatore: The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has been distributing free nutritious food to the poor and needy in the Velandipalayam area of Coimbatore every week. As part of this initiative, milk, eggs, fruits, and bread were distributed to the public on September 8.

Sampath, the Coimbatore District Secretary of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, participated as a special guest at the event. He inaugurated the distribution by handing out sweets to all the attendees.

This weekly program aims to provide essential nutrients to underprivileged residents in the area. The distribution of these food items is expected to benefit numerous families who struggle to afford nutritious meals regularly.

The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam's efforts have been well-received by the local community, with many expressing gratitude for the consistent support. This initiative not only addresses immediate nutritional needs but also serves as a platform for community engagement and solidarity.

Local volunteers and members of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam were present to ensure smooth distribution and to interact with the beneficiaries. The organization plans to continue this program in the coming weeks, potentially expanding to cover more areas in Coimbatore.
