Bhoomi Puja ceremonies were held in Pollachi for a ground-level water tank and a new road project under the Chief Minister's Village Road Development Scheme, marking the beginning of infrastructure improvements in the area.
Coimbatore: Two significant Bhoomi Puja ceremonies were conducted today (Sept. 10) in the Pollachi North (East) and Pollachi South (North) union areas of Coimbatore South District, marking the commencement of important infrastructure projects.

The first ceremony was held in Alampalayam village of Anupparpalayam Panchayat for a new 60,000-liter ground-level water storage tank.

This project, valued at Rs. 12 lakh, is being implemented under the Mineral and Mining Scheme.

The second Bhoomi Puja was conducted in Chinna Negamam Panchayat for a new road project. This road, which will connect Uthavipalayam to Moolanur, is part of the Chief Minister's Village Road Development Scheme for the year 2024-2025.
K. Eswaransamy, Member of Parliament from Pollachi, and Thalapathy Murugesan, Coimbatore South District Secretary, attended and inaugurated these events. They were joined by Union Secretaries, local body representatives, and DMK party executives.
These initiatives are expected to significantly improve water storage capacity and road connectivity in the Pollachi region, contributing to the overall development of the area.
