Power Outage Scheduled for Tomorrow in Peelamedu, Samaththur, and Kovilpalayam Substations

Electricity Board officials announce power cuts in various areas of Coimbatore on September 12 from 9 AM to 4 PM due to maintenance work at Peelamedu, Samaththur, and Kovilpalayam substations.


Coimbatore: The Electricity Board officials have announced power outages in several areas of Coimbatore on September 12 due to maintenance work at three substations. The affected areas fall under the jurisdiction of Peelamedu, Samaththur, and Kovilpalayam substations, with power cuts scheduled from 9 AM to 4 PM.

In the Peelamedu substation area, the following localities will experience power disruptions: Bharathi Colony, Ilango Nagar, Purani Colony, Shoba Nagar, Ganapathy Industrial Estate, Police Quarters, Krishnarajapuram, Athipalayam Division, Ramakrishnapuram, Avarampalayam, Ganesh Nagar, V.G.Rao Nagar, Kamadhenu Nagar, PSG Estate, PSG Hospital, Nehru Street, Anna Nagar, Arumugam Layout, Indira Nagar, Nava India, Gopal Nagar, Peelamedu Pudur, Ellai Thottam, VUCSI Colony, PKT Nagar, Akhilandeswari Nagar, Puliyakulam, Amman Kulam, Bharathipuram, Pankaja Mill, Thamu Nagar, Balasubramaniam Nagar, Balakuru Garden, Sauripalayam, Krishna Colony, Rajaji Nagar, Meena Estate, Udayampalayam, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Parsons Apartments, Sripathi Nagar, Kallimadai, Ramanathapuram, a portion of Trichy Road, Nanjundapuram Road, and Thiruvalluvar Nagar.

The Samaththur substation maintenance will affect power supply in Samaththur, Avalchinnampalayam, Thalavaipalayam, Palayur, Nachipalayam, Ponnapuram, Pollachiyur, Bilsinampalayam, Jamin Kottampatti, Vadugapalayam, and Kurinjari.

Areas under the Kovilpalayam substation that will face power cuts include Kurumbapalayam, Mannikampalayam, Agrahara Samakulam, Kunnattur, Sarkar Samakulam, Kovilpalayam, Kallipalayam, Mondikaliputhur, and Kondayampalayam.

Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to plan accordingly for the scheduled power outage.
