Scheduled Power Outage in Coimbatore's Peelamedu Area Cancelled

The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has cancelled the planned power outage in Peelamedu, Coimbatore, scheduled for September 12. The monthly maintenance work at the substation has been postponed due to unavoidable reasons.

Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced the cancellation of a previously scheduled power outage in the Peelamedu area of Coimbatore. The power cut, which was originally planned for today (September 12), has been called off, bringing relief to residents and businesses in the affected areas.

K. Pasupatheeswaran, the Executive Engineer of TNEB, issued a statement regarding the cancellation. According to the official communication, the monthly maintenance work at the Peelamedu substation, which was supposed to take place from 9 AM to 4 PM today, has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.

The maintenance work at the substation is a routine procedure carried out to ensure the efficiency and reliability of the power distribution network. However, the sudden change in plans means that the residents of Peelamedu and its surrounding areas will not face any disruption in their power supply today.

The TNEB has assured that electricity distribution will continue as usual on Thursday in all areas served by the Peelamedu substation. This announcement comes as welcome news to the local community, who can now go about their daily activities without any interruption to their power supply.

While the cancellation of the power outage is a positive development for the residents, the TNEB has not provided any information about when the postponed maintenance work will be rescheduled. It is expected that the board will announce a new date for the maintenance in due course, giving residents ample time to prepare for any future planned outages.
