Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced power cuts in several areas of Coimbatore on Friday, September 13, due to scheduled monthly maintenance work at two substations. The power outage will be from 9 AM to 4 PM, affecting residents and businesses in multiple localities.
At the Irugur substation, maintenance work will result in power cuts in the following areas: Irugur, Ondiputhur, Ottarpalayam, Ravathur, parts of Pallapalayam, Chinthamaniputhur, parts of Kannampalayam, parts of Chinniyampalayam, Venkittapuram, parts of Thottipalayam, parts of Goldwins, and Athapagoundanputhur.
Similarly, the Somayampalayam substation will undergo maintenance, leading to power outages in Somayampalayam, Yamuna Nagar, Kalapanaickenpalayam, GCT Nagar, Kanuvai, KNG Puthur, Thadagam Road, Cheran Industries area, Vidhya Colony, Saj Garden, VMT Nagar, Teachers Colony, and Namitha Colony.
TNEB officials have advised residents and businesses in these areas to plan accordingly and take necessary precautions during the power cut hours. They have also assured that power supply will be restored as soon as the maintenance work is completed.
