Coimbatore: The Udumalpet Tirupati Sri Venkatesa Perumal Temple in Tiruppur district began its four-day Pavitrotsava festival yesterday. The event, which will continue until the 16th, has drawn large crowds of devotees from surrounding villages.
The festival's inaugural day was marked by a series of traditional rituals and ceremonies. These included Punyahavachanam, Ankurarppanam, Thirumanchanam, Adivasa Homam, and the commencement of Veda Divya Prabandham. Additionally, special pujas such as Chathusthana Archanai, Homam, and Satru Murai Koshti were performed.
Adding to the spiritual atmosphere, the Renuka Devi Bhajan group presented a devotional music performance, enhancing the festive mood. The temple saw a significant influx of devotees from neighboring villages, who came to seek darshan of the deity during this auspicious occasion.
The Udumalpet Tirupati Sri Balaji Charitable Trust administrators have made all necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the festival. As the Pavitrotsava continues over the next few days, it is expected to attract more devotees and maintain its spiritual fervor.
