A grand Kumbabhishekam ceremony was conducted for Sri Athi Mara Anjaneyar and Sri Nandi Emperuman at Sri Balamurugan Temple in Venjamadai, Udumalpet. Devotees participated in the rituals and special pujas performed for the deities.
Tirupur: A grand Ashtabandana Maha Kumbabhishekam ceremony was held today for Sri Athi Mara Anjaneyar and Sri Nandi Emperuman at Sri Balamurugan Temple in Venjamadai area of Ganakkampalayam Panchayat, Udumalpet, Tirupur district.
The day began with the second Kala Puja at 5 AM, followed by mangala isai, Vishwaksena aradhana, nadi santhanam, dravyahuti, maha poornahuti, yatra danam, deepa arathanai, and kadam procession.
Holy water brought from various sacred sites was then poured on the Anjaneyar Gopura Vimana Kalasam, marking the Kumbabhishekam.
Subsequently, 16 types of abhishekams were performed for Anjaneyar, including water, tender coconut, curd, rose water, turmeric, kumkum, and butter, followed by a maha deepa arathanai. After the maha deepa arathanai, as sunlight fell on Anjaneyar in the sanctum, devotees were awestruck and offered heartfelt prayers.
Similarly, for the Sri Nandi Emperuman statue in front of Sri Vanchinaratha Easwarar Temple, 16 types of abhishekams were conducted, including milk, water, rose water, turmeric, kumkum, and tender coconut. Special pujas were performed for Nandi Emperuman.
A large number of devotees participated in these events and had darshan of the deities.
The temple administration had made arrangements for the Kumbabhishekam of Sri Athi Mara Anjaneyar Temple and the consecration ceremony of Sri Nandi Emperuman statue.
