Hindu Makkal Katchi submits petition to Coimbatore District Collector, demanding removal of beef shop near Lakshmi Narasimhar Temple in Ukkadam, citing distress to thousands of daily devotees.

Coimbatore: The Hindu Makkal Katchi has submitted a petition to the Coimbatore District Collector, demanding the removal of a beef shop operating near the Lakshmi Narasimhar Temple in Ukkadam. The petition was submitted today under the leadership of Surya, the district general secretary of the party.

Surya, in his capacity as the district general secretary of Hindu Makkal Katchi, stated that the renowned Arulmigu Lakshmi Narasimhar Temple is located in the Ukkadam area. A beef shop has been operating adjacent to the temple's compound wall. Thousands of devotees visit this temple daily, and the presence of the beef shop near the temple premises is causing distress and significant mental anguish to the visiting devotees.

The Hindu Makkal Katchi, on behalf of Tamil Nadu, has requested the authorities to remove the beef shop from its current location. The party emphasized that the shop's proximity to the temple is not only a hindrance but also a source of great distress for the devotees who come to worship at the Lakshmi Narasimhar Temple.

The petition highlights the religious sentiments of the Hindu community and calls for immediate action to address their concerns. The party hopes that the district administration will take appropriate steps to resolve this issue and maintain the sanctity of the temple surroundings.
