The annual car festival of Our Lady of Good Health Velankanni at Karamadai, Coimbatore, drew thousands of devotees. The event, held on September 15, featured a procession along Coimbatore Road.



Coimbatore: The Our Lady of Good Health Velankanni Church in Karamadai, Coimbatore, celebrated its annual car festival with great fervor and devotion. The festivities began last Friday with a flag-hoisting ceremony, marking the commencement of the celebration.

Following the flag-hoisting, daily special prayers and rosary recitations were conducted in honor of Mother Mary. The highlight of the festival, the car procession, took place on the evening of September 15th.



The elaborately decorated car carrying the statue of Our Lady of Good Health Velankanni embarked on its journey along Coimbatore Road. Thousands of Christian devotees participated in the procession, seeking blessings from the Mother. The car eventually returned to the church premises, concluding the main event of the festival.



The car festival, a significant event in the Christian calendar, not only showcased the community's faith but also attracted devotees from various parts of the region. The event was marked by spiritual enthusiasm and communal harmony, reflecting the religious diversity of Coimbatore.
