SRISHTI 2024: Crafts Council of Tamil Nadu's Festive Edit Returns to Coimbatore

SRISHTI 2024, a curated festive edit by the Crafts Council of Tamil Nadu, will be held from September 19-21, 2024, at Suguna Kalyana Mandapam, Coimbatore, showcasing 68 labels of artisanal crafts and designer products.

Coimbatore: The Crafts Council of Tamil Nadu (CCTN) is set to host its 27th annual SRISHTI event, a highly anticipated festive edit, from September 19 to 21, 2024, at Suguna Kalyana Mandapam in Coimbatore. The event will run daily from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM, offering visitors a wide array of artisanal crafts and designer products.

SRISHTI 2024 will feature 68 curated labels showcasing the finest collection of designers, craftepreneurs, and brands that work closely with artisans and weavers across India. The event will offer a diverse range of products including textiles, sarees, apparel for men, women, and children, precious and semi-precious jewelry, home decor, home linen, and lifestyle accessories.

CCTN, an NGO in its 37th year, is dedicated to the upliftment of crafts and artisans in Tamil Nadu. Affiliated with the Crafts Council of India, Chennai, and the World Crafts Council, CCTN has made SRISHTI a cornerstone event in Coimbatore's cultural calendar for nearly three decades.

The carefully curated selection at SRISHTI celebrates indigenous weaves and craftsmanship from across India. In addition to the craft stalls, the event will feature six food stalls offering various cuisines to cater to shoppers throughout the day.

SRISHTI serves as a major fundraising event for CCTN, with proceeds used to subsidize costs for artisans participating in the annual Crafts Bazaar in Coimbatore. This aspect of the event underscores its importance in supporting the craft community and CCTN's year-round activities.

In line with environmental consciousness, CCTN encourages visitors to bring their own shopping bags to reduce the use of single-use plastics. This initiative aligns with the event's broader mission of promoting sustainable and responsible consumerism.

SRISHTI 2024 promises to be a celebration of India's rich craft heritage, offering Coimbatore residents and visitors alike an opportunity to support artisans while acquiring unique, handcrafted products. The event's longstanding popularity and its role in supporting craft communities make it a must-visit for those interested in traditional crafts and contemporary design.
