Pollachi Municipal officials, led by the Municipal Council Chairperson, conducted a field inspection in Wards 1, 2, and 3 to address basic public issues and infrastructure needs.
Coimbatore: The Pollachi Municipality in Coimbatore district has been conducting weekly public grievance meetings every Tuesday under the leadership of Municipal Council Chairperson Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan. These meetings, covering all 36 wards, aim to address and resolve public complaints promptly.
As part of this initiative, a decision was made to directly inspect three wards daily. Today, Municipal Council Chairperson Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan, Municipal Commissioner Ganesan, and other municipal officials conducted a field inspection in Wards 1, 2, and 3 of Pollachi Municipality.
During the inspection, Chairperson Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan visited the Vadugapalayam Middle School.
She examined the classrooms, toilets, kitchen facilities, and inquired about the implementation of the morning breakfast scheme.
The Chairperson also discussed the basic needs of students with the teachers.
Following the school visit, immediate action was taken to remove overgrown vegetation in the area. The field inspection aimed to identify and address the fundamental issues faced by the public in these wards, ensuring prompt resolution and improved municipal services.
These regular inspections and public meetings demonstrate the municipality's commitment to addressing citizens' concerns and enhancing the overall quality of life in Pollachi.
