We are approaching the Kodanad murder case from every possible angle - SP Murali Rambha



The police are investigating the Kodanad murder case from every possible angle and vital evidence are being meticulously gathered to crack the sensational murder case and burglary attempt said Superintendent of Police (Nilgiris District) Murali Rambha.

Briefing the media here after visiting K.V.Sayan (35) alias Syan, a prime accused in the murder case,who was undergoing treatment at  an emergency ward of a private hospital  here (after being injured in  road accident near Palghat in which his wife and child died)  the SP said that the Sayan's physical condition is far from normal to hold a thorough interrogation. 

"Though he is conscious he is not in a position to answer effectively. Presently he is undergoing intensive treatment at the hospital. Saving his life is a top priority at this crucial juncture" Murali Rambha said.

"Sayan could not speak well; he only spoke in a low voice, when I met him in the emergency ward of the hospital for an hour. The police will be in a position to carry on the interrogation with the suspect, only when he is fully recovered” Murali Rambha said.

“The Police have leveraged the advantages of technology to crack the case and every angle is being probed,” SP said.

While answering a question as to why the accused was admitted to a private hospital, Murali Rambha said that it was the Kerala Traffic Police who have admitted the injured Sayan in a private hospital after the accident he met with near Palghat.

In the sensational Kodanad estate murder case, Om Bahadur (50) a security guard at the Kodanad estate, was murdered and another guard Krishna Bahadur was injured when assailants struck at gate no 10 of the Kodanad estate.While Kanakaraj, a prime suspect and a former driver of Jayalalitha had died in a road accident near Attur in Salem district, Sayan, who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital is considered a vital link in Kodanad murder case.

It is alleged that the assailants who tried to enter the Kodanad estate (owned by former Cheif Minister J Jayalalitha) were after some important documents.
