Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, a borewell lorry driver was found dead in a pool of blood near Allinagar, Mathampalayam, close to Periyanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore. The deceased, identified as Nandakumar (46), son of Pujangaban from Salavembu area near Karamadai, was discovered with severe head injuries on Thursday morning.
Nandakumar, who had two wives, was living with his second wife in Marudur. On Wednesday, due to lack of work, he visited the lorry parking area in Allinagar. Witnesses report that he consumed alcohol there and, seemingly under the influence, climbed onto his lorry to sleep.

The police have launched an investigation to determine whether Nandakumar's death was the result of an accidental fall or if foul play was involved.
As the investigation unfolds, authorities are examining all possible angles, including the circumstances leading to Nandakumar's presence at the location and his activities prior to the incident. The police are also gathering statements from witnesses and examining the area for any potential evidence that might shed light on this tragic event.
