Karpagam College of Engineering Hosts YUVA-2024 Induction Programme for First-Year Students

Karpagam College of Engineering conducted YUVA-2024 freshmen Induction Programme for first-year B.E Computer Science and Engineering and Cyber Security students on September 20, 2024. The event aimed to welcome and prepare students for their academic journey.


Coimbatore: Karpagam College of Engineering successfully conducted the YUVA-2024 freshmen Induction Programme for the 2nd Batch of first-year B.E Computer Science and Engineering and Cyber Security students on September 20, 2024. The event, which began at 10:30 am, aimed to welcome, inform, and prepare students for their academic journey ahead.









The programme commenced with a traditional prayer song, followed by the lighting of the lamp by dignitaries, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance through knowledge.



Dr. D. Prabakar, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, delivered the welcome address, motivating and inspiring students as they embark on this new phase of their lives.



Dr. V. Kumar Chinnaiyan, Principal of Karpagam College of Engineering, gave the presidential address. He encouraged students to immerse themselves in both academic and extracurricular activities, emphasizing the importance of collaboration, mutual respect, and open communication in fostering a supportive campus environment.



K.M.G. Athi Pandiyan, Public Relations Officer of Karpagam Institutions, introduced the Chief Guest, setting the stage for an engaging and motivating address.



The Chief Guest, Anandham Selvakumar, Founder and Chairman of Anandham Youth Foundation, delivered an inspiring speech on the transformative power of education and its role in personal and professional growth. He advised students to embrace failure as part of the learning process and use challenges as stepping stones to success.

Selvakumar's success stories left a lasting impression on the hearts and minds of the students and instilled confidence in both the students and their parents. Dr. S. Logeswari, Head of the Department of Cyber Security, expressed gratitude by delivering the vote of thanks to the Chief Guest for his inspiring words. She also extended thanks to the Principal, Management, and the event coordinator Dr. L. Gowrishankar for conducting this fruitful programme.



The event concluded with a final warm welcome to the first-year students, wishing them success in their academic journey at Karpagam College of Engineering.
