Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati issued a disability ID card and financial aid to a differently-abled child in Periyanaickenpalayam on September 20, 2024, as part of the "Ungalai Thedi Ungal Ooril" scheme.

Coimbatore: In a swift response to a plea made during the "Ungalai Thedi Ungal Ooril" (Seeking You in Your Village) scheme, Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati, IAS, issued a disability identification card and financial assistance order to a differently-abled child on September 20, 2024.

The beneficiary, Suthan Sai, son of Manikandan from Mullai Nagar in Periyanaickenpalayam, was born with limb deformities affecting both his arms and legs. During the scheme's implementation in the North Taluk of Coimbatore district, Manikandan had appealed to the District Collector for a disability ID card for his son.

Acting promptly on the request, the district administration processed the application, and today, Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati personally handed over the disability identification card along with the order for financial assistance to the family.

The event was also attended by TAHDCO (Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation) Manager K. Maheswari.

This gesture by the district administration underscores the government's commitment to addressing the needs of differently-abled individuals and ensuring they receive necessary support and recognition.
