TNAU Offers Two-Day Training on Amla Value-Added Products

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in Coimbatore is hosting a two-day training program on creating value-added products from Amla on September 24-25, 2024. The course covers various processing technologies for Amla-based beverages, concentrates, and dehydrated products.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is set to conduct a two-day training program on "Value Added Products from Amla" at its Centre for Post Harvest Technology, Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute in Coimbatore. The training will take place on September 24 and 25, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day.

The comprehensive program will cover a range of processing technologies for Amla-based products. Participants will learn to prepare Amla beverages such as squash, ready-to-serve drinks, syrup, and plain juice. The training will also include instructions on making Amla concentrates like jam, as well as dehydrated Amla products including honey Amla, candy, supari, and powder.

Interested individuals can participate in the training by paying a fee of Rs. 1,770 (Rs. 1,500 + 18% GST) on the first day of the program. The training will be held at the Centre for Post Harvest Technology, Agricultural Engineering College & Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore - 641003. The venue is accessible via the TNAU Gate No. 07, located opposite the Botanical Garden on Marudhamalai Road.
