Coimbatore Collector Gifts Laptop to Tribal Student Pursuing Higher Education

Coimbatore Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati presented a laptop to Karthika, a first-generation graduate from Palavalli tribal settlement, fulfilling her request made during a recent "Ungalai Thedi Ungal Ooril" event.

Coimbatore: In a heartwarming gesture, Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati gifted a laptop to a tribal student pursuing higher education. The student, Karthika, hails from the Palavalli tribal settlement in Nayakkanpalayam Panchayat.

Karthika, a first-generation graduate in her family, had requested a laptop during the recent "Ungalai Thedi Ungal Ooril" (Government at Your Doorstep) program held last week in Coimbatore district. Recognizing the importance of digital tools in modern education, the Collector decided to fulfill her request.

On September 23, Karthika was invited to the Coimbatore District Collector's office. In a simple ceremony, Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati personally handed over the laptop to the deserving student. This act of generosity is expected to significantly aid Karthika in her higher education pursuits.

The initiative highlights the government's commitment to supporting education, particularly for students from marginalized communities. By providing essential tools like laptops, the administration aims to bridge the digital divide and empower first-generation learners like Karthika to achieve their academic goals.
