The operation was initiated based on information received by the police about students allegedly engaging in criminal activities under the influence of narcotic substances.

A team of over 60 police personnel, including inspectors and officers, participated in this sudden inspection. The raids were carried out in areas known for student residences, including Peelamedu, Saravanampatti, and Eachanari.

The primary objective of these raids was to check if any unauthorized persons were staying in these accommodations and to search for any illegal substances or items. The police team, led by Assistant Commissioner Parthiban, included Inspectors Kanthasamy, Arun, Rajesh, Muthulakshmi, Daulat Nisha, Franklin, and Saravanan.

During the operation, the police officers thoroughly searched the rooms occupied by college students. They collected information and details from the occupants, focusing on identifying any potential illegal activities or substance abuse.
