Mayor's Public Grievance Redressal Meeting Cancelled in Coimbatore Corporation

The Mayor's public grievance redressal meeting scheduled for October 1, 2024, at the Coimbatore Corporation main office has been cancelled due to administrative reasons.

Coimbatore: The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation has announced the cancellation of the Mayor's public grievance redressal meeting that was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Corporation's main office. The meeting has been called off due to administrative reasons.

The public grievance redressal meeting, which was to be chaired by Mayor K. Ranganayaki Ramachandran, was originally planned to be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. These meetings typically provide an opportunity for residents within the Coimbatore Corporation limits to present their petitions and grievances directly to the Mayor.

During these sessions, citizens are usually able to submit petitions regarding various civic issues such as birth and death certificates, road facilities, streetlights, water supply, underground drainage, professional tax, property tax, vacant land tax, new water connections, name changes, medical services, sanitation, education, and other basic amenities. The relevant department officials of the Corporation would then take action on these petitions.

The Corporation typically encourages the public to utilize these meetings to address their concerns and benefit from direct interaction with the city administration. However, with the cancellation of this particular meeting, residents will need to wait for the next scheduled session to present their grievances.

The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation has not provided any specific details about the administrative reasons for the cancellation or announced a rescheduled date for the meeting. Citizens are advised to stay updated with official announcements for information about future public grievance redressal meetings.
