TNAU to Conduct Two-Day Training on Millet Value-Added Products

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, will host a two-day training program on "Value Added Products from Millets" on October 3-4, 2024, aiming to develop entrepreneurial skills in millet-based food production.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) in Coimbatore is set to organize a two-day training program on "Value Added Products from Millets" on October 3-4, 2024. The initiative aims to promote the use of millets in daily diets and develop entrepreneurial skills in producing millet-based food products.

Millets, known for their high nutritional value and health benefits, are currently underutilized in everyday meals. This training program seeks to address this gap by educating participants on creating various millet-based products. The course will cover traditional foods, pasta, bakery products, and instant food mixes made from millets.

Interested individuals can participate by paying Rs. 1,770 (including 18% GST) on the first day of the training. The program will be held at the Centre for Post Harvest Technology, Agricultural Engineering College & Research Institute, TNAU, Coimbatore, from 9 am to 5 pm on both days.
