Coimbatore: Renowned actor Rajinikanth, aged 73, has been admitted to Apollo Hospitals for an elective cardiac procedure. The superstar is currently under the care of interventional cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish, who will oversee the procedure scheduled for Tuesday.

While the exact nature of the procedure has not been disclosed, elective cardiac procedures are typically planned in advance and are not considered emergency interventions. Such procedures can range from diagnostic tests to minor interventions aimed at improving heart function.
