Gandhi Jayanti Celebration at Gudalur Municipality in Coimbatore

Gudalur Municipality in Coimbatore district celebrated Mahatma Gandhi's 155th birth anniversary on October 2nd. The event, organized by the 20th Ward Kurinji Nagar Residents Association, featured floral tributes and sports competitions.


Coimbatore: The Gudalur Municipality in Coimbatore district celebrated the 155th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, on October 2nd. The event was organized by the 20th Ward Kurinji Nagar Residents Association.



A. Arivarasu, the Chairman of Gudalur Municipality, participated in the celebration on behalf of the municipality.



He paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi's portrait and inaugurated the sports competitions.



In his address, Arivarasu emphasized the importance of preserving the united India that Mahatma Gandhi envisioned.

The event was attended by Rathi Rajendran, Vice Chairman of Gudalur Municipality, and Rajagopal, who presided over the function. Selvakumar, President of the Residents Association, and Sivakumar, Secretary of the association, along with local children and residents, participated in the celebration, making it a grand success.

The Gandhi Jayanti celebration at Gudalur Municipality served as a reminder of Mahatma Gandhi's principles and his vision for a united India. The event brought together local officials and residents, fostering a sense of community and national pride.
