The ATA Expo, organized by Karpagam Innovation and Incubation Council, will showcase assistive technologies for specially-abled individuals on October 8-9, 2024 in Coimbatore. Over 40 companies are expected to participate.
Coimbatore: The Karpagam Innovation and Incubation Council (KIIC), in collaboration with the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (KAHE), is set to organize the ATA Expo – Assistive Technologies and Accessibility Devices on October 8th and 9th, 2024. This groundbreaking event aims to showcase innovative technologies designed to enhance the lives of specially-abled individuals.
The expo is being held in association with several prominent organizations, including Startup TN, STPI, TANCAM, Karpagam Innovation Centre, Spastics Society of Tamil Nadu, Cognizant, Young Initiative Accessibility, Young Indians, and the Confederation of Indian Industry. Over 40 companies are expected to participate, presenting their cutting-edge products and solutions in the field of assistive technology.
As a prelude to the main event, an Awareness Rally was conducted on October 1st, 2024, at the Racecourse in Coimbatore.


The rally was inaugurated by Kranthi Kumar Pati IAS, District Collector of Coimbatore, alongside key figures such as Murugaiah, CEO of Karpagam Institutions; Dr. Prabhagaran, Head of KIIC; Dhanasekar, Manager of Karpagam Innovation and Incubation Council; Dr. Kamal Raj, HOD of Biomedical Engineering, KAHE; and Gayathri, Project Lead from the Startup TN team.


The event saw enthusiastic participation from various groups, including students from different departments of Karpagam Academy of Higher Education and Karpagam College of Engineering, NSS volunteers from KAHE, specially-abled individuals from Coimbatore, and members of Cognizant's outreach team. The Cognizant team was also present at the rally, demonstrating their support for the initiative.
