DMK Celebrates Minister Senthil Balaji's Return with Special Prayers and Annadanam

DMK's Coimbatore North District organized special prayers and annadanam for 1000 devotees at Sri Raja Vinayagar Temple, celebrating Minister Senthil Balaji's return to office after his release on bail.

Coimbatore: The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) in Coimbatore celebrated the return of Minister Senthil Balaji to his official duties with special prayers and annadanam (food offering) for over 1000 devotees at Sri Raja Vinayagar Temple in Sri Kanth Nagar.

Senthil Balaji, who serves as the Minister for Electricity and Prohibition & Excise, recently resumed his ministerial responsibilities after being released on bail. The minister had been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate 15 months ago in connection with an illegal money transfer case. Following a prolonged legal battle, he was granted bail and subsequently reinstated as a minister.

To mark this occasion, DMK supporters in Coimbatore burst crackers, distributed sweets, and served biryani to the public. The celebration reached its pinnacle with a special event organized by the DMK's Coimbatore North District unit.

Under the guidance of District Secretary Thondamuthur Ravi, the event was led by Deputy Secretary Ashok Babu Arukutti. It took place at the Sri Raja Vinayagar Temple in Sri Kanth Nagar, which falls under Ward 4 of Coimbatore Municipal Corporation. Arokiya John, the head of the Coimbatore North District Minority Welfare Division, coordinated the arrangements for special pujas, abhishekams, and aradhanas.

The event saw participation from various DMK functionaries, including Kathirvel, the head of Coimbatore Municipal Corporation's North Zone, Kathirvelsamy, the Ward 4 Councilor, Sundarraj, the Ward 5 Deputy Secretary, and Karthik, along with numerous party members and supporters from the city and surrounding areas.

This celebration underscores the significance of Senthil Balaji's return to the DMK, particularly in Coimbatore where he had previously served as the district in-charge minister. During his tenure, he had led the party to a historic victory in the urban local body elections, securing a 99% win rate in the Coimbatore district.
