Moderate Rain Brings Relief to Coimbatore City Residents

Coimbatore city experienced moderate rainfall in various areas on Saturday morning, bringing relief from the intense heat of the past 45 days. Residents expressed joy as the unexpected showers created a cool atmosphere.



Coimbatore: The Coimbatore city woke up to a pleasant surprise on Saturday morning as moderate rainfall was reported in various parts of the city, bringing much-needed relief from the scorching heat that had persisted for the past one and a half months. The unexpected showers created a cool and refreshing atmosphere, much to the delight of the residents.

The Meteorological Department had earlier forecasted the possibility of rain in Coimbatore, Nilgiris, and surrounding districts. True to the prediction, several areas in Coimbatore city, including Puliakulam, Ukkadam, Town Hall, Kuniyamuthur, Periya Kadai Veedhi, Ramanathapuram, Karumbukadai, Nanjundapuram, and Podanur, experienced moderate rainfall in the morning hours.



The sudden change in weather brought a significant respite to the citizens who had been enduring intense heat for the past 45 days. The cool climate that emerged following the rainfall was a welcome change for the residents of Coimbatore district.

People were seen happily going about their daily routines, carrying umbrellas as they headed to work during the light showers. The rain, however, was short-lived and stopped after a brief period.

The unexpected rainfall has not only provided relief from the heat but has also lifted the spirits of the residents, creating a positive atmosphere in the city. Many expressed hope that more such showers would follow in the coming days to keep the temperatures in check.
