Power Outage Tomorrow in Mathampatti, Kavundampalayam, and Devarayapuram Substations

Due to monthly maintenance work at Mathampatti, Kavundampalayam, and Devarayapuram substations in Coimbatore, several areas will experience power cuts tomorrow (October 8) from 9 AM to 5 PM.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board has announced that several areas in Coimbatore will face power outages tomorrow (October 8) from 9 AM to 5 PM due to scheduled monthly maintenance work at the Mathampatti, Kavundampalayam, and Devarayapuram substations.

Areas under the Mathampatti substation that will be affected include Mathampatti, Aalandurai, Kuppanur, Karadimadai, Poundi, Semmedu, Perur, Theeththipalayam, Goundanur, Perur Chettipalayam, Kaalampalayam, Thondamuthur, Kembanur, Muthipalayam, Pudhupalayam, Kalikanaickenpalayam, Thaaliyur, Dheenampalayam, Uliyampalayam, Kulathuppalayam, and West Chithiraichavadi.

The power cut will also impact areas under the Goundampalayam substation, including Nallampalayam, Sai Baba Colony, Idayarpalayam, Cheran Nagar, Lenin Nagar, and Sanganur. Various towns, streets, colonies, and layouts in these areas will also be affected by the power outage.

Areas served by the Devarayapuram substation, such as Devarayapuram, Poluvampatti, Viraliyur, Narasipuram, Kaliyannanthur, Puthur, Thennamanallur, Kondayampalayam, and Thenral Nagar, will also experience power cuts.

Residents are advised to plan their daily activities accordingly, taking this power outage announcement into consideration. The Electricity Department officials are expected to complete the maintenance work within the specified time and resume normal power supply.
