Councillor Ambika Danapal Inspects Cleanliness Drive and Dengue Prevention Measures in Coimbatore's Ward 27

Councillor Ambika Danapal conducted inspections in Ward 27 of Coimbatore on October 8, overseeing garbage collection, road cleaning, and dengue prevention measures in various areas including Peelamedu and Avarampalayam.


Coimbatore: Ward 27 Councillor Ambika Danapal conducted a series of inspections on Sunday, October 8, to assess the cleanliness and health measures in her constituency. The inspections covered multiple areas and focused on garbage collection, road cleaning, and dengue prevention efforts.

The day began with Danapal overseeing the cleaning of roadside garbage near PSG Primary School on the main road of Avarampalayam in Peelamedu. She instructed sanitation workers to thoroughly clean all the waste along the roadside. Ward Supervisor Maheswari accompanied the councillor during this inspection.



In another part of Ward 27, Danapal inspected the dengue prevention activities being carried out. Sanitation workers were observed identifying and removing mosquito larvae in areas such as Thiruvenkadasamy Street, Anand Thiruvenkadasamy Street, and Pera Nayudu Street in Peelamedu. The workers applied bleaching powder to affected areas and poured abate solution into water tanks to prevent mosquito breeding.



The councillor also checked on the daily garbage collection in the ward. She personally visited various locations to ensure that the garbage collection auto was arriving regularly and collecting waste efficiently. Danapal instructed the sanitation workers to collect all the garbage completely and clean the roadsides thoroughly.

Throughout the inspections, Danapal emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and preventing the spread of dengue in the ward. She urged the workers to complete their tasks promptly and effectively, demonstrating her commitment to improving the living conditions for residents of Ward 27.

Ward Supervisor Maheswari accompanied Councillor Ambika Danapal during these inspections, highlighting the collaborative effort between elected representatives and municipal staff in addressing civic issues.
