Two persons including Shyam (50) a devotee from Tiruvarur who was climbing the Vellingiri hills had died after he suffered a heart attack. Shyam had come to Vellingiri hills to have a darshan of Velliangirinathar and he was climbing up the steep hills when he suddenly developed heart pain and collapsed.
Another unidentified man, who had visited the temple was also found dead near the toll booth.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem to Government Medical college Hosptial. Alandurai police are investigating the case.
