Dravidar Tamizhar Katchi leader files complaint against Andhra Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan

Venmani, leader of Dravidar Tamizhar Katchi, submits petition to Coimbatore City Police Commissioner against Andhra Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan for alleged inflammatory remarks about Tamils and Hinduism, demanding legal action.

Coimbatore: Venmani, leader of Dravidar Tamizhar Katchi and a lawyer, has submitted a petition to the Coimbatore City Police Commissioner against Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. The petition alleges that Kalyan made inflammatory remarks during a speech in Tirupati, questioning why people shouldn't be agitated against those who speak disparagingly about Hinduism in Tamil Nadu.

Venmani stated that Kalyan's comments appear to incite religious conflict and demean Scheduled Castes and Tribal communities, particularly regarding remarks about beef tallow. He urged the police to file a case against the Andhra Deputy CM for his statements.

Speaking to reporters, Venmani accused Kalyan of consistently making speeches that create enmity between the people of two states and instigate religious conflicts among various communities. He emphasized that such actions are punishable offenses.

Venmani further criticized Kalyan's ongoing campaign about beef tallow being used in Tirupati prasadam, calling it an act of caste-based discrimination against those who consume beef and Dalits. As a beef consumer himself, Venmani expressed that Kalyan's speech has caused him great humiliation and disgrace.

The Dravidar Tamizhar Katchi leader defended Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin's recent comments, stating that he was referring to the abolition of the unconstitutional caste-based Varnashrama Sanathana structure, as mentioned by Dr. Ambedkar. Venmani argued that Kalyan's religiously biased conduct violates the constitutional oath he took as an MLA and Deputy Chief Minister.

Venmani concluded by stating that if the police do not take appropriate action and file a case against Pawan Kalyan for his alleged crimes of spreading animosity between two states' people, speaking disrespectfully about Tamil Nadu's Deputy Chief Minister, and attempting to disrupt social harmony, he would pursue legal action in court.
